Amid seemingly ceaseless pronouncements from high level officials about the inevitability of total global consolidation paired with vigorous denouncements of both nations and borders as archaic traditions of an outdated model of civilization, we would be well served to remember that there is nothing new under the sun. This entire project is literally as old as Genesis. Let’s first go to the Biblical text before circling back to the current school of thought that views the control mechanisms of hidden powers to be unlimited and invincible.
Now the whole earth had one language and the same words. And as people migrated from the east, they found a plain in the land of Shinar and settled there. And they said to one another, “Come, let us make bricks, and burn them thoroughly.” And they had brick for stone, and bitumen for mortar. Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city and a tower with its top in the heavens, and let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be dispersed over the face of the whole earth.” And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of man had built. And the Lord said, “Behold, they are one people, and they have all one language, and this is only the beginning of what they will do. And nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them. Come, let us go down and there confuse their language, so that they may not understand one another’s speech.” So the Lord dispersed them from there over the face of all the earth, and they left off building the city. Therefore its name was called Babel, because there the Lord confused the language of all the earth. And from there the Lord dispersed them over the face of all the earth.
This is a picture of a totally unified world – albeit of a smaller geographical scope than what we encounter today – intent on accomplishing a mysterious project of massive geopolitical, economic, and spiritual importance. For those interested in a degree of detail and precision that this article can’t possibly encapsulate, I recommend the work of Dr. Michael Lake (The Shinar Directive).
A significant division within both the Christian and secular factions of the truth community concerns whether or not the powers behind the throne – choose your favorite euphemism and insert as necessary – have already attained this level of total control over the affairs of the world. Christians tend to cite 1 John 5:19 “We know that we are of God, and that the whole world is under the power of the evil one”, and depending on who you ask you might be perplexed to hear that the world is really run by multinational corporations, the military-industrial complex, central bankers, intelligence agencies, secret societies, the Vatican, Luciferians, Jews, Nazis, aliens, Reptilians, Anunnaki, Hyperboreans, or even Satan himself.
Whatever anyone’s preferred identity of who lies at the top of the power hierarchy of the globe – for Christians it all stems from Satan who is referred to as “the god of this world” in 2 Corinthians 4:4 – the purpose of this article is to explore the hypothesis of terrestrial omnipotence. We’ve all heard it said too many times to count that everything is controlled. Asset prices are so rigged that they can be set at any price arbitrarily and instantly without consequence. Participation in the political process is meaningless because it is all determined in advance. All events are completely scripted in order to steer the entire human race incrementally towards the New World Order.
These viewpoints, while seemingly extreme, certainly have concrete evidence that can be pointed to in order to support their propositions of omnipotence. Asset prices are indeed controlled and the Hegelian Dialectic of problem-reaction-solution is always in play. After all, why would the amoral power elite let a good crisis go to waste, particularly when you can create the crisis, determine the outcome, and profit massively in terms of money and power?
For my Christian brethren, the precedent for total control by a global society is spoken directly by God Himself in Genesis 11:7 as cited above. “Behold, they are one people, and they have all one language, and this is only the beginning of what they will do. And nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them.” This pronouncement would seem ludicrous if it weren’t the direct words of the Lord. Really? Nothing they propose would be impossible? That sounds an awful lot like omnipotence, a characteristic that is the exclusive attribute of God. However, in this case a precise reading points not to omnipotence but to the specific imminent success of Nimrod’s endeavor to make a name for the society apart from God and to build a tower “whose top may reach unto heaven” (KJV).
Nonetheless, I believe that an appropriately balanced view of the current level of control of hidden powers is that is that it is substantial yet incomplete. The whole world does indeed lie in the power of the evil one, but even Satan himself is under the power of God. The true hierarchy of power does not end with worldly affairs, and – just like in Genesis 11 – there is always an opportunity for another omnipotence override. God’s true omnipotence always trumps the enemy’s false omnipotence. When light comes, the darkness must flee. When truth arrives, all lies are banished. When the genuine article shines, all counterfeits are obliterated.
Systemic control can appear staggering and even lead to feelings of fear or helplessness. But be encouraged my brothers and sisters in Christ: even if the enemy appears formidable or even invincible, know that He who is in us is greater than he who is in the world. Be of good cheer: Jesus has overcome the world! Satan, sin, death, and hell are all defeated foes and must bow the knee to the Lord of Lords.
We are in desperate need of an omnipotence override from God to grant us a reprieve so that we can put things in proper order and advance the Kingdom of God. We must humble ourselves in prayer, fasting, and repentance. Now is a moment of great decision. Holy Spirit give us faith, strength, courage, and boldness in the name of Jesus.
With the Red Sea on one side, Pharaoh’s armies on the other, and no way in the natural to fight or flee, it is now deliverance or destruction – an omnipotence override or an ongoing oppression. God is our only hope and our only option.
