Join your host Steven Menking as he welcomes Myles Francis, Blue Shepard, Ryan Buford, and Dane D for a powerful roundtable discussing preparation and homesteading. With Thanksgiving fast approaching, the group takes some time to discuss how to foster the preparation mindset around the holidays and how to build the intangible skills that are necessary to becoming truly antifragile in a changing world. Leadership, decision making, conflict resolution, and practical solutions are all on the menu for this powerful conversation. Thanks for joining us On the Objective!

On the Objective
Welcome back to The Amateur Society for another conversation about being able to discuss worldviews. Challenging and even hostile conversations can often take place around the Thanksgiving table in the presence of family. For many, these times are successful if conflict is avoided, but the typical approach is to avoid any controversial subjects entirely. There is a productive approach that we can build to deal with these situations, and it requires being confident in our worldviews and being genuinely curious about our family members. Thanks again for joining us on The Amateur Society!
In the face of apparently escalating tensions both domestically and internationally, it is now important to spend some time understanding what escalation is and how it operates at both the individual and societal levels. What is escalation? When should we escalate? When should we avoid escalation? How can we tell in practical terms what the various potential outcomes will be? How is escalation connected with identity and worldview? Why should we care? How can a more complete understanding of this issue allow us to ask better questions and make better decisions in our own lives?
