Podcast: On the Objective – The Freedom Of Total Dependence On God – Steven Menking – 07.03.2020

07.03.2020

Join us for another Biblical discussion of important spiritual principles in partnership with Reliance! As we celebrate our nation’s independence amidst a trying hour, it is well worth revisiting the notion of independence itself. We must work and fight to establish freedom from tyranny, but in order to do so we must first be wholly dependent on God. True independence in this world is not possible without operating in obedience to the will of the Lord. As we strive and contend for freedom and justice let us always remember the one who sets us free, the righteous judge of the universe, the King of Kings, Jesus Christ! The scriptures in this broadcast are from Psalms 25.

Sometimes God Makes Me Really Angry – Pastor Tim Dilena – Times Square Church – 06.21.2020

Habakkuk

In any relationship there are tumultuous periods. In those periods we important choices to make. Should we come closer or withdraw? Should we push through or give up? Should we aim for a solution or declare things irreconcilable? While these questions are complicated in many of our relationships with other people, with the Lord there is only one answer: draw nearer. The Word of God recounts many situations where those who God has called and favored grow angry with the Lord (Job, David, Moses, etc.). Many times when we go through suffering or pain can even become furious. The Lord desires our honesty so that He will use these circumstances to show us where we need to be transformed and to bring healing into our lives. A fantastic example of this dynamic is the entire book of Habakkuk.

Lord, how long shall I cry,
And You will not hear?
Even cry out to You, “Violence!”
And You will not save.
Why do You show me iniquity,
And cause me to see trouble?
For plundering and violence are before me;
There is strife, and contention arises.
Therefore the law is powerless,
And justice never goes forth.
For the wicked surround the righteous;
Therefore perverse judgment proceeds.

Habakkuk 1:2-4

Podcast: On the Objective – Believing For Miracles – Steven Menking – 06.28.2020

06.28.2020

Join us for another Biblical discussion of important spiritual principles in partnership with Reliance! Right now, in this very instant, Jesus Christ is ruling and reigning from His heavenly throne at the right hand of the Father. For all our talk does the body of Christ really believe this or are we so focused on worldly affairs that we have neglected the Lord above and beyond lip service and head knowledge. We must remember where our help comes from! God is well able to work mighty miracles in this generation. Oh that we would be made ready to receive the faith necessary for that to happen in our time. The Lord deserves a harvest! Will you fast, pray, and seek His face for the strength to be obedient to His will in this hour? The scriptures in this broadcast are from Revelation 21 and Revelation 22.

A Glimpse Of Glory – Pastor Tim Dilena – Times Square Church – 06.15.2020

06.23.2020

Revelation 7 paints a picture of the most diverse place that has ever existed: the throne of God. At a time when racial tensions are being amplified, we must remember how God sees each and every one of us. We will one day be together before the throne brothers and sisters, all of us in worship to the one true God. Jesus knows our individual struggles, our family struggles, our community struggles, and our struggles as the human race. He cares about them all. Let us press onward with the calling of Christ under the unction of the Holy Spirit as we advance the Kingdom of God!

After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” All the angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures, and fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, saying:

“Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom,
Thanksgiving and honor and power and might,
Be to our God forever and ever.
Amen.”

Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, “Who are these arrayed in white robes, and where did they come from?”

And I said to him, “Sir, you know.”

So he said to me, “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple. And He who sits on the throne will dwell among them. They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat; for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”

Podcast: On the Objective – Our Heavenly Father – Steven Menking – 06.20.2020

06.20.2020

Join us for another Biblical discussion of important spiritual principles in partnership with Reliance! This Father’s Day I pray that we would all look to our Heavenly Father and return to first principles. Who is our God? He is altogether holy, worthy, mighty, perfect, righteous, merciful, loving, graceful, just, powerful, wise, great, and awesome. There is no way to capture His glory in words, so we must go to Him to replenish in praise, worship, and adoration our awareness of who He is rather than continue to feed on the incessant diet that the world would see us consume. Thank you Heavenly Father for everything you have done, are doing, and will do! Glory to God in the highest! The scriptures from this episode are from Hebrews 5.

Podcast: On the Objective – Common Sense Must Not Remain Silent – Coach Dave Daubenmire – 06.16.2020

06.16.2020 OtO

Join us On the Objective as your host Steven Menking welcomes back Coach Dave Daubenmire of Coach Dave Live for a discussion about some key dynamics taking place in the body of Christ that are shaping the direction we are pursuing as a country. The incessant negativity has poisoned so many. The leadership void has disheartened so many. The all out spiritual war has worn down so many. How can we obtain the strength to continue speaking common sense truths and pressing for real solutions when so many have seemingly been poisoned by false doctrine and ideology? There is a path forward, and only the Lord can establish it for us. Thanks for joining us On the Objective!

How To Change Our Cities From Groaning To Rejoicing – Pastor Tim Dilena – Times Square Church – 06.07.2020

SiegeofJerusalem

After the miracle of the feeding of the 5,000, Jesus withdrew from the crowds of people who wanted to make Him king on the spot. The plan of God requires us to respond appropriately and with accountability to Him rather than to the demands of the world. The strife in our world requires a response, but if that response is driven by anything other than the word and the will of God it will end in misstep and disaster. As such, we must hear from the Lord if we are to see progress and success in this generation. Jesus deserves a harvest, but if His laborers are receiving improper, sensationalized directions from other sources how can we hope to be a part of what He will accomplish? Now is the time for humility. Now is the time to seek God. Once our marching orders arrive we must act in faith and obedience. Only then can we go from groaning to rejoicing!

After these things Jesus went over the Sea of Galilee, which is the Sea of Tiberias. Then a great multitude followed Him, because they saw His signs which He performed on those who were diseased. And Jesus went up on the mountain, and there He sat with His disciples.

Now the Passover, a feast of the Jews, was near. Then Jesus lifted up His eyes, and seeing a great multitude coming toward Him, He said to Philip, “Where shall we buy bread, that these may eat?” But this He said to test him, for He Himself knew what He would do.

Philip answered Him, “Two hundred denarii worth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may have a little.”

One of His disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, said to Him, “There is a lad here who has five barley loaves and two small fish, but what are they among so many?”

Then Jesus said, “Make the people sit down.” Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand. And Jesus took the loaves, and when He had given thanks He distributed them to the disciples, and the disciples to those sitting down; and likewise of the fish, as much as they wanted. So when they were filled, He said to His disciples, “Gather up the fragments that remain, so that nothing is lost.” Therefore they gathered them up, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves which were left over by those who had eaten. Then those men, when they had seen the sign that Jesus did, said, “This is truly the Prophet who is to come into the world.”

Therefore when Jesus perceived that they were about to come and take Him by force to make Him king, He departed again to the mountain by Himself alone.

Podcast: On the Objective – The Urgent Path To Spiritual Maturity – Steven Menking – 06.15.2020

06.15.2020 OtO Solo

Steven returns for another economic update to discuss the path to spiritual maturity that we urgently need. First, we recognize that we are overwhelmed by the scenarios we are encountering. Next, we go to God in humility, repent of trying to solve things in our own strength, and surrender to His will. From that inflection point we must listen to the Lord and be led by the Holy Spirit. Let God’s will be accomplished in our lives. This pivotal moment requires leadership that is truly appointed and anointed by God. Time to pray, stand, and speak!
