Guest Post: Pastor Mike Spaulding – Biblical Prophecy Refutes Earthly Utopian Dreams – Part 1

But take heed; behold, I have told you everything in advance. Mark 13:23

Utopian dreams burst onto the American mainstream consciousness in 1967 with the iconic “The Age of Aquarius/ Let the Sunshine In” medley originally part of the Broadway production of Hair, later recorded by the R&B group The 5th Dimension in 1969. According to the lyrics, the remedy for mankind’s needs is found in the planets and star constellations of our galaxy.  To gain insight into our shared path forward in peace and love, mankind must “look to the stars.” The lyrics state this plainly:

When the moon is in the Seventh House
And Jupiter aligns with Mars
Then peace will guide the planets
And love will steer the stars
This is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius.

Harmony and understanding
Sympathy and trust abounding
No more falsehoods or derisions
Golden living dreams of visions
Mystic crystal revelation
And the mind’s true liberation
Aquarius.[1]

The 5th Dimension enjoyed a six week ride at number one on the Billboard charts with this breakthrough song. Clearly, Americans were ready for more peace and love sentimentality. The radio jingle “I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing,”[2] adapted for a Coca-Cola commercial in 1971 provided another push toward the globalist dream of peace, safety, and unity. In this song we were entertained by a very early effort to condition us to multiculturalism. People of all walks of life, nationalities, and ethnicities, all gathered on a hilltop to sing kumbaya. Actually, the lyrics were much more in line with the re-emerging idea of the earth as a living organism.

Guest Post: Pastor Mike Spaulding – Never Again, Until The Next Time! The Greatest Deception

great-deception

I’ll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I’ll get on my knees and pray
We don’t get fooled again[1]

And Jesus began to say to them, “See to it that no one misleads you. Many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am He!’ and will mislead many … for false Christs and false prophets will arise, and will show signs and wonders, in order to lead astray, if possible, the elect. But take heed; behold, I have told you everything in advance. Mark 13:5-6, 22-23 NASB

There is an eight hundred pound gorilla on the world stage and nearly every political leader in the world, save Trump, Ader of Hungary, and Duda of Poland, plus a few more, refuse to acknowledge its presence. It is getting really awkward for Macron, Merkel, and May. The atrocities that they have allowed to be committed against their citizenry by this gorilla deny reason. Can open revolt In France, Germany, and the United Kingdom be too far off?

When Favor Asks For Faith – Pastor Carter Conlon – Times Square Church – 01.13.2019

promisedland

Sometimes God’s favor comes to us before we have faith. God’s favor came to Moses, Gideon, and Israel before they believed that it could. Perhaps in this moment too there are so many crying out to the Lord that He will move in our midst to favor us so that we can reach a lost generation. This favor from the Lord is not for our fame, power, or glory, but for the sake of the name of Jesus and for the sake of others who need to be saved. Will faith be our response? Will we obey His word? Will we press in to see what God would do in our lives through this favor? Do not be taken aback when God moves even despite our lack of worthiness and faith. Lord strengthen our faith at all times, even if it follows your favor. There is a harvest for the Lord in this generation, and only God’s favor can facilitate it. Jesus help our unbelief!

“Therefore say to the house of Israel, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “I do not do this for your sake, O house of Israel, but for My holy name’s sake, which you have profaned among the nations wherever you went. And I will sanctify My great name, which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned in their midst; and the nations shall know that I am the Lord,” says the Lord God, “when I am hallowed in you before their eyes. For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land. Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them. Then you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; you shall be My people, and I will be your God. I will deliver you from all your uncleannesses. I will call for the grain and multiply it, and bring no famine upon you. And I will multiply the fruit of your trees and the increase of your fields, so that you need never again bear the reproach of famine among the nations. Then you will remember your evil ways and your deeds that were not good; and you will loathe yourselves in your own sight, for your iniquities and your abominations. Not for your sake do I do this,” says the Lord God, “let it be known to you. Be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O house of Israel!”

‘Thus says the Lord God: “On the day that I cleanse you from all your iniquities, I will also enable you to dwell in the cities, and the ruins shall be rebuilt. The desolate land shall be tilled instead of lying desolate in the sight of all who pass by. So they will say, ‘This land that was desolate has become like the garden of Eden; and the wasted, desolate, and ruined cities are now fortified and inhabited.’ Then the nations which are left all around you shall know that I, the Lord, have rebuilt the ruined places and planted what was desolate. I, the Lord, have spoken it, and I will do it.

‘Thus says the Lord God: “I will also let the house of Israel inquire of Me to do this for them: I will increase their men like a flock. Like a flock offered as holy sacrifices, like the flock at Jerusalem on its feast days, so shall the ruined cities be filled with flocks of men. Then they shall know that I am the Lord.” ’ ”

Podcast: On the Objective – Don’t Go Another Moment Without Forgiveness – Steven Menking – 01.14.2019

2019.01.14

Forgiveness is absolutely essential to the walk of any Christian. It is by the grace of God and the sacrifice of the cross that we are able to receive eternal forgiveness for sins. Jesus clearly instructs us through parables and directly that forgiveness towards one another is not optional. Harboring unforgiveness, bitterness, and anger leaves a door for the enemy to march through and harms our effectiveness for the Kingdom of God and our testimonies. I pray that the Holy Spirit would bring something or someone to mind that you need to ask forgiveness from or provide forgiveness to during this broadcast. Take that step toward forgiveness and watch what God will do! We read through Psalm 51 as well as portions of Matthew 18, 1 Peter 4, and Matthew 5.

A Word For The Weary – Pastor William Carrol – Times Square Church – 01.06.2019

transfiguration

As Jesus came closer to the cross He ascended the Mount of Transfiguration, and an audible word from God spoke encouragement into Jesus and His disciples. We have a tendency to grow weary in well doing and frustrated by the stubborn rebellion of the world that we can even recognize in ourselves. Now is the moment to be refreshed by Jesus, who is the Word of God. This generation needs Jesus, and God’s will is for everyone to come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Will we draw back at this time and resign ourselves or will we press in with even greater desperation and even greater patience. God let your will be done in this generation! Use our lives for your glory and for your kingdom! Jesus magnify your holy name!

Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, led them up on a high mountain by themselves; and He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light. And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him. Then Peter answered and said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here; if You wish, let us make here three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”

While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!”

Matthew 17:1-6

Podcast: On the Objective – Dwelling On The Good Things Of God – Karen Rogers – 01.10.2019

2019.01.10

Join your host Steven Menking as he welcomes back Karen Rogers for a discussion about how to dwell on the good things of God despite the evil that seems to surround us in this world. Karen discusses the instructions in Philippians 4 for Christians to focus on the good things of God and to be anxious for nothing. While we can’t ignore evil and indeed are called to combat it, we also must maintain our faith by pressing in to the Lord and reflecting on what Jesus has done for us. In order to stay sharp and effective we must maintain our vigilance, and that requires maintaining our peace and joy as well. Thanks for joining us On the Objective!
