Thanks for joining us again On the Objective as your host Steven Menking welcomes back Pastor Mike Spaulding to discuss his new book, Traveling the Road Together! This book is packed full of genuine encouragement from scripture at a time when so many need to be nourished by the Word of the Lord instead of by the darkness of the world. We are not in this alone brothers and sisters! We have Jesus, and we have each other. Let us continue to run the race that is set before us. Thanks for joining us On the Objective!

Welcome back On the Objective as your host Steven Menking sits down with Pastor Mike Spaulding for another important conversation about spiritual leadership. As of this week Pastor Mike is retired! That’s right: Pastor Mike has officially left his full time job in the workforce to focus exclusively on ministry full time. He will not be heading to the beach or the porch and golfing every day. Instead, he will be putting all of his time into ministerial service to the Lord. What would compel someone to have such an attitude? How can we find more leaders in this generation? What must we do to be in position for the harvest that Jesus deserves? We hope you enjoy this motivating conversation. Thanks again for joining us On the Objective!

For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ; —Philippians 3:20
There is a widespread misunderstanding in the body of Christ today related to our responsibility to live in this world while maintaining an attitude of not being of this world. This misunderstanding is based on seeing these seemingly opposing truths from an either/or perspective. In other words, some people seem confused as to what role Christians should actively play in the affairs of this world since heaven is our true home.
In the Scripture cited above, Paul rightly reminded the believers living in Philippi that their citizenship was in heaven. Some have taken that to mean that they should not be concerned about anything in this world beyond their own comforts and well-being.
What Paul meant by his exhortation to the Philippians was that their ultimate loyalty was to God and His kingdom, not to the earthly realm of dictators and despots. Paul was speaking about priorities. What Paul did not mean was that Christians bear no responsibility to influence and direct the affairs of citizens of this world.
Welcome back On the Objective as your host Steven Menking sits down with Pastor Mike Spaulding for another important conversation about spiritual maturity. The teachings of scripture are plain concerning how we are to treat our brothers and sisters in Christ. Our love for one another should be supernatural in origin and evidence to a dying world of the power of God in our lives. Tragically, when many look upon the body of Christ from the outside they see bickering, argument, trifling, and the works of the flesh. We must dedicate ourselves to growing in maturity so that the true power and authority of Christ will be evident in our lives. Thanks again for joining us On the Objective!

Come to Me all who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest.—Jesus Christ
Weariness has become epidemic in America. The mental and physical exhaustion being suffered is evident on the faces of a great number of people nearly every day. Webster’s Dictionary defines weariness as: The state of being weary or tired; that lassitude or exhaustion of strength which is induced by labor; fatigue.
Lassitude as used by Webster in the definition of weariness above means: uneasiness proceeding from continued waiting, disappointed expectation or exhausted patience, or from other cause.
When I read “or from other cause” I paused. Certainly, unfulfilled expectations can weary you, as can unexpected events that bring with them negative results. Patience can be exhausted resulting in weariness and depleted strength or stamina to continue to persevere while waiting for a desired outcome.
More young women are taking their own lives than ever before. Half a million people visit hospitals every year from self-injury. The fastest rising age group for suicide attempts is young women. My guest in this episode of SER is author Tamara Laroux. After she shot herself as a teenager, she experienced an astonishing series of events, including an out of body journey that took her to places of explainable terror and glorious peace.

The US Internal Revenue Code has been ridiculed, feared, and despised by virtually everyone. And why not? A presented by the Internal Revenue Service, the code appears illogical, inconsistent, and incomprehensible. As presented, the code defies practically the entire Bill of Rights – requiring citizens to testify against themselves, allowing searches and seizures without warrants, levying fines and penalties without trials and imposing a tax on the basic right to earn a living. As presented, the IRC would appear to turn everything we all thought we had learned in grade school English and Civics on its head.
Is it possible that we all just misunderstood those simple lessons? Maybe. But researcher, analyst, and scholar Peter. E. Hendrickson believes that after reading Cracking the Code, you’ll agree that what has been misunderstood is the 3,413,780 word monstrosity itself – and how, and to whom, it applies.
This episode of SER is my conversation with Pete about the fraud perpetrated upon Americans and what you can do about it.

From the Preface to Vicki’s book we read:
The Gospel is not politically correct – but it is biblically correct. Christians must learn how to speak the truth in love. Many Christians today fall prey to speaking the truth without love; but the second failure is just as dangerous – not speaking up at all. That is why the moral of Anderson’s tale still applies today – namely, the dangers of remaining silent when our conscience convicts us to speak. Once we lose the courage to stand for our convictions, lives and liberties will be lost; and our freedoms will be forfeit.
Vicki Joy Andersen’s book, The Emperor’s New Gender: A Present Day Parable of Pluralistic Ignorance, hits the target straight on – gender dysphoria as a weapon against common sense, biology, and more importantly, God’s creation.
