Don’t Grieve The Holy Spirit – Pastor Carter Conlon – Times Square Church – 02.11.2018

Born again Christians carry the Holy Spirit with us everywhere we go. What are we doing even now that grieves the Holy Spirit? Lord open our eyes to what you would have us to see rather than what our flesh wants to pursue. Jesus help us represent you the way you deserve to be represented. If your conscience can still be moved, then call out to God and ask Him to work in your life.

This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind, having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart; who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

But you have not so learned Christ, if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.

Therefore, putting away lying, Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor,” for we are members of one another. “Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil. Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need. Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

Ephesians 4:17-32

The Lord Your God Is With You – Pastor Carter Conlon – Times Square Church – 02.04.2018

God is with us! This is a critically important message for all believers. Make the decision to press in to the Lord and be courageous. Stand for Jesus in this generation and watch what God will do through your life to touch others. God has called you to fulfill the perfect plan He has for your life. God Himself will give you the strength, the faith, and the ability to obey and to follow. Listen to the still small voice of the Holy Spirit today!

After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, it came to pass that the Lord spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ assistant, saying: “Moses My servant is dead. Now therefore, arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them—the children of Israel. Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses. From the wilderness and this Lebanon as far as the great river, the River Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and to the Great Sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your territory. No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you. Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

The Power Of A Reluctant Witness – Pastor Carter Conlon – Times Square Church – 01.28.2018

Martin, John, 1789-1854; Jonah Preaching before Nineveh

Are you a reluctant witness for Jesus? God can, has, and will use even those who are reluctant. We must see people as God sees them – eternally valuable and made in His image – in order to impact this generation. There is great division between groups in our society, and such an atmosphere can create bitterness and resistance to the call of the Lord to reach out to others. Jonah’s storm prevented him from fleeing his calling. Seek the face of God even amidst whatever storm you are going through!

Now the word of the Lord came to Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, “Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry out against it; for their wickedness has come up before Me.” But Jonah arose to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the Lord. He went down to Joppa, and found a ship going to Tarshish; so he paid the fare, and went down into it, to go with them to Tarshish from the presence of the Lord.

Seeing Through The Eyes of God – Pastor Carter Conlon – Times Square Church – 01.21.2018

What are we looking at? What has our attention? Can others see in our eyes the light of God? Now is the time to see clearly. In order to do so we need to press in to God to receive the grace and faith necessary to be transformed by Jesus. Holy Spirit give us eyes to see what you want us to see – the eternal value of each and every person no matter what their current state. God put a desperation in our heart for the souls around us!

And when a violent attempt was made by both the Gentiles and Jews, with their rulers, to abuse and stone them, they became aware of it and fled to Lystra and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and to the surrounding region. And they were preaching the gospel there.

And in Lystra a certain man without strength in his feet was sitting, a cripple from his mother’s womb, who had never walked. This man heard Paul speaking. Paul, observing him intently and seeing that he had faith to be healed, said with a loud voice, “Stand up straight on your feet!” And he leaped and walked.

Standing On The Wrong Side Of The Message – Pastor Carter Conlon – Times Square Church – 01.14.2018

Christians: once we accept Jesus Christ and are born again God’s will for our lives necessarily includes sharing and defending our faith. As a church collectively in America we have been tossed aside because people see no power, truth, or righteousness in us. Of course, we don’t have any of those things in our own strength, but the Holy Spirit living inside of us should be providing evidence of all of the above. People should see Christ in us, but instead they mostly see us blending in. Don’t get caught on the wrong side of the message. Surrender everything to God and watch what He will do. The Lord is faithful and true!

Now it was about the sixth hour, and there was darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour. Then the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was torn in two. And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said, “Father, ‘into Your hands I commit My spirit.’” Having said this, He breathed His last.

So when the centurion saw what had happened, he glorified God, saying, “Certainly this was a righteous Man!”

And the whole crowd who came together to that sight, seeing what had been done, beat their breasts and returned. But all His acquaintances, and the women who followed Him from Galilee, stood at a distance, watching these things.

Pursue Goodness – Pastor Gary Ham – Times Square Church – 01.07.2018

Brothers and sisters in Christ, let this be a year of drawing closer to God and pursuing goodness with all our might! God is good, and His goodness will overwhelm and overshadow you should you seek it earnestly. Let us stand up, put sin aside, and obey the Word of God that we would be empowered to pour ourselves out for the sake of others.

So the Lord said to Moses, “I will also do this thing that you have spoken; for you have found grace in My sight, and I know you by name.”

And he said, “Please, show me Your glory.”

Then He said, “I will make all My goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.”

Exodus 33:17-19

The Year That We Flourish – Pastor Carter Conlon – Times Square Church – 12.31.2017

Now is the time to press in to God and to be overwhelmed by His faithfulness! Following the model of 1 Corinthians, we must be careful in all things to bring glory to God through our behavior and the lives that He has given us. The name of Jesus will be lifted up. Come home to the Lord. Be encouraged in the Lord. Live all your days for the glory of the Lord. He is faithful!

Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ;

That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge;

Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:

So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:

Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

1 Corinthians 1:3-10
