Wilderness Shakers – Pastor Carter Conlon – Times Square Church – 09.15.2019

Eden

Everything comes from the Spirit of God moving and the Word of God going forth, and we partake in that ability to speak. Will we in this generation close our ears and speak only what it is out heart rather than what is in accordance with the will of God? Will death and sin continue to reign over us despite the cross of Christ and the redemption that is available because of His victory? Will we shrink back even in the body of Christ even into our darkness? Clarity, confidence, strength, and blessing are available in Jesus. Behold all things are made new. We must arise in this moment and shake the wilderness by following the Lord. Only the power of the Spirit of God can bring us back to life in this moment. Devote yourself to knowing God and watch what He will do!

Give unto the Lord, O you mighty ones,
Give unto the Lord glory and strength.
Give unto the Lord the glory due to His name;
Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.

The voice of the Lord is over the waters;
The God of glory thunders;
The Lord is over many waters.
The voice of the Lord is powerful;
The voice of the Lord is full of majesty.

The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars,
Yes, the Lord splinters the cedars of Lebanon.
He makes them also skip like a calf,
Lebanon and Sirion like a young wild ox.
The voice of the Lord divides the flames of fire.

The voice of the Lord shakes the wilderness;
The Lord shakes the Wilderness of Kadesh.
The voice of the Lord makes the deer give birth,
And strips the forests bare;
And in His temple everyone says, “Glory!”

The Lord sat enthroned at the Flood,
And the Lord sits as King forever.
The Lord will give strength to His people;
The Lord will bless His people with peace.

Psalm 29:1-11

Podcast: On the Objective – No More Fear Of Evil Tidings – Steven Menking – 09.21.2019

Join us for another Biblical discussion of important spiritual principles in partnership with Reliance! So many of us are awash in evil tidings every day to the point where we become afraid. Most often that shows itself through our inaction. This all stems from a latent immaturity and pride that refuses to submit to the correction of the Lord. We are incredibly selfish to revel in our complacency as this generation beloved by God perishes around us. We must not be deceived! Sometimes the most fiendish traps laid for us are the most subtle. What is your excuse for not engaging on the spiritual battlefield? Hasn’t Jesus already overcome the world? It’s well past time for us to lay hold of the faith that Jesus provides and step forth boldly in the midst of evil tidings. The scriptures from this message are found in Psalm 112 and Proverbs 16.

If Grace Finds A Willing Heart – Pastor Carter Conlon – Times Square Church – 04.01.2018

Thank God for the Cross of Jesus Christ and for His Resurrection! As we celebrate our Lord this season, there is no time like right now to turn from the overwhelming tumult of the world and to turn to grace and eternal life in Jesus. We absolutely must become new creations in this hour. Put aside the old things. Dedicate yourself to God. Follow Him with all your heart. Wait on the Lord. This is a season of trial, testing, and sifting. Be counted among those who put their faith in God and who aren’t discouraged. There are so many reasons in our lives to succumb to the malaise of the world and its troubles. If our eyes are not on Jesus, then we won’t be receiving the spiritual nourishment that we need each and every day. Jesus is victorious over all! Do not live in defeat one day longer when we have a God who reigns and desires us above all.

But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift. Therefore He says:

“When He ascended on high,
He led captivity captive,
And gave gifts to men.”

Ephesians 4:7-8

The Omnipotence Override

tob

Amid seemingly ceaseless pronouncements from high level officials about the inevitability of total global consolidation paired with vigorous denouncements of both nations and borders as archaic traditions of an outdated model of civilization, we would be well served to remember that there is nothing new under the sun. This entire project is literally as old as Genesis. Let’s first go to the Biblical text before circling back to the current school of thought that views the control mechanisms of hidden powers to be unlimited and invincible.

Now the whole earth had one language and the same words. And as people migrated from the east, they found a plain in the land of Shinar and settled there. And they said to one another, “Come, let us make bricks, and burn them thoroughly.” And they had brick for stone, and bitumen for mortar. Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city and a tower with its top in the heavens, and let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be dispersed over the face of the whole earth.” And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of man had built. And the Lord said, “Behold, they are one people, and they have all one language, and this is only the beginning of what they will do. And nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them. Come, let us go down and there confuse their language, so that they may not understand one another’s speech.” So the Lord dispersed them from there over the face of all the earth, and they left off building the city. Therefore its name was called Babel, because there the Lord confused the language of all the earth. And from there the Lord dispersed them over the face of all the earth.

Victory Comes When Victory Can No Longer Come – Pastor Carter Conlon – Times Square Church – 10.16.2016

elijah

When we finally realize that we have no chance of attaining to victory in our own strength, understanding, and effort, then we can cry out to God in humility and repentance and see the victory that God will win for us to the glory of His name! If you are in a challenging place, are despairing of present circumstances, or even just need to be refreshed in the strength of the Lord through the Holy Spirit, then please listen to the following message and call out to Jesus.

Victory Comes When Victory Can No Longer Come – Pastor Carter Conlon – Times Square Church – 10.16.2016

Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, to whom the word of the Lord came, saying, “Israel shall be your name,” and with the stones he built an altar in the name of the Lord. And he made a trench about the altar, as great as would contain two seahs of seed. And he put the wood in order and cut the bull in pieces and laid it on the wood. And he said, “Fill four jars with water and pour it on the burnt offering and on the wood.” And he said, “Do it a second time.” And they did it a second time. And he said, “Do it a third time.” And they did it a third time. And the water ran around the altar and filled the trench also with water.

And at the time of the offering of the oblation, Elijah the prophet came near and said, “O Lord, God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known this day that you are God in Israel, and that I am your servant, and that I have done all these things at your word. Answer me, O Lord, answer me, that this people may know that you, O Lord, are God, and that you have turned their hearts back.” Then the fire of the Lord fell and consumed the burnt offering and the wood and the stones and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench. And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces and said, “The Lord, he is God; the Lord, he is God.”
